March 28, 201115 yr I have a Bangkok Bank (regular) savings account, for which I have not used in almost one year. I typically use this account when I am on holiday in Thailand. Funds are electronically deposited into it from my bank here in the US. I currently have a minuscule balance in the savings account. Will this account become inactive if I do not periodically (ie yearly) deposit funds into it? On a side note, is it possible for me to setup internet banking with Bangkok Bank while I'm here in the US?
March 29, 201115 yr If the account has a balance of a few hundred baht I wouldnt think there would be a problem, although their probably will be an annual fee (minor amount for any card etc) Internet banking can be set-up but it can ONLY be set-up whilst you are here in Thaialand as they send the PIN etc by conventional mail to your address registered to the account for security purposes. Once set-up you can use it from anywhere.
