You cannot get 16 months.

You can get almost 15 months by doing a border run just before the Visa expires. Thus getting another 90 days.

Just make sure the Visa is still valid when you enter.

if you are married to a thai then you can make your visa last for 17 months in total by going to imm and getting a 60 day ext after you last entry
