Changing Jobs & Non B

Featured Replies

can any enlightened ones shed light here-having just applied for /recieved a 'non B' from Laos (based on paperwork issued from an employment agency to work with them) i recieved the initial 3 months which then must be extended to a full year, once the work permit doc's are in place.

now, i have just been offered another position from another employment agency which is at a school situated in another province- it's an ideal chance/opportunity which i am considering taking up. (i wouldn't be starting either position until next term-May)

what would be the deal with my newly aquired 'non B' ?

would this non B, become invalid on the grounds i'm now with a new agency /school? would this be cancelled & i'd have to re-apply in Laos again for a new non B with paperwork connected to the new agency?

or,would i still be able to use the original visa & get it extended using documents from the new agency-in other words is the visa transferable? bearing in mind the work permit has not been issued as yet-just the 'non B' visa...

your knowledge/opinions appreciated...:D

Your 90 day entry remains valid and you can use that entry to obtain work permit at new location if they get the paperwork done. The visa is not tied to anything until you extend your stay - then the extension will be tied to your current job.
