farangene
I am in Bkk and using the 65,000 bath per month basis for Retirement renewal. Last year, the Immig person said that I didn't need a "bank letter" for renewal. I still need to bring the passbook to show I have an account and copies of pertinent bank book info. Does anyone know if the bank letter is still not needed? I get differing opinions when I search Thaivisa but the need seems to be based on which Immig office you apply. I am interested in Bkk Chaeng Wattana only. Thank you
lbjcb
Confushing info by posters about what is required. Info on immigration webs say either bank with letter, or income with nothing else mentioned, or a combo of bank with letter and income. I have read some people say sometimes at different offices they ask for a bank book and don't care about how much is in there. So it's a toss up to get the bank letter or not. Mario2008
Bank letter not needed if you qualify based on your income, but some immigration offices still want to see a bank book with some money in it.
