How much time do you have to pay your government electric bill before the service is cut off?

Neighbor forgot to pay and want to pay neighbor's bill at electric office before service is cut off.

Thanks.

The dates to pay are in the top right hand corner. Anyone who reads Thai can read them out to you. Once the date has expired you have to pay at the electricity office on Pattaya Klang or near Bamlamung police station, depending on where you live.

The dates between which payment can be made at 7/11 and other mass pay shops is printed along the very bottom of the bill and usually has a span of 7 days, after that the bills must be paid at the PEA office at either Banglamung or on Chaiyapruek 2 where they may charge you a late payment fee 100 / 150 baht but they seem to waive this if your last payment day falls on a weekend or public holiday and you pay the very next available day..

There is no date for cut off shown on the bill and it would probably depend on how busy your local PEA staff were to action this but i wouldnt leave it more than a week overdue if i was you.

If they do come and take away your meter for non payment, then getting it reconnected can be a bit of a tedious and time consuming paper trail.
