Man Drowns in Agricultural Pond During First Heatwave of the Year
Picture from responders. A 32-year-old man drowned in a farm pond while attempting to cool off from the intense heat on March 2. The incident occurred in the agricultural area of Ban Pa Rai Daeng, Mae Ramad district, Tak province. The local police station received a report of the drowning at around 08:25 and immediately contacted the Pitak Kanchan Rescue Foundation for assistance. Emergency responders, including a dive team, rushed to the scene, where they found the victim’s wife praying for the swift recovery of her husband’s body. The farm pond, used for agricultural purposes, was located deep within a cornfield, several hundred meters from the main road. The pond measures 6 meters wide, 10 meters long, and is about 3 meters deep. A sloped pathway leads to the water, which is used for irrigation during the dry season. According to reports, the deceased, identified as a 32-year-old man of Karen descent named Mr. Plei La, had been drinking alcohol in the morning. With the rising temperatures of the first heatwave of the year, he decided to jump into the pond to cool off, but his wife later realised that he had disappeared underwater. After a 20-minute search by the rescue team’s divers, the victim’s body was found submerged. The body was carefully retrieved and brought to shore by the rescue team. Authorities later confirmed that the cause of death was drowning. The man’s body was sent to Mae Ramad Hospital for a formal examination. -- 2025-03-04 -

Shock discovery! Zelensky owns a suit!!
Why the silver spoon? A metaphor? Normal people dip the KFC in the gravy, and a wood spork for the coleslaw/beans side Plus a pile of salt and pepper sachets, not fancy shakers. And who takes a knife and fork to the KFC? -

Four Injured in Car Crash After Driver Falls Asleep Returning from Pilgrimage
Picture from responders. A car carrying four passengers was involved in a crash after the driver fell asleep while returning from a pilgrimage to Khao Kitchakut, leaving all passengers injured. The incident occurred at 08:55 on 2 March, on Sukhumvit Road, near the fishmeal factory curve, in the Nern Sai area of Trat Province. The emergency services were alerted by the 1669 emergency hotline, and responders from Trat Hospital quickly arrived at the scene. They found a red sedan with severe front-end damage, and four women, aged between 25 and 35, were injured. The most serious injuries included facial and head wounds. Mr. Khwanchai Suno, an emergency medical worker from Trat Hospital, was driving home after his shift when he witnessed the crash. He had been following the vehicle involved when it suddenly veered off the road. He immediately stopped to assist and discovered that the driver had fallen asleep at the wheel. Additionally, all the passengers had also been asleep at the time of the crash. One of the passengers, Ms. Belle, 25, explained that the group had just returned from paying respects at the sacred Buddha footprint at Khao Kitchakut. They had left for Trat in the early hours of the morning, after completing their visit. One friend had asked to be dropped off before the crash, leaving four people in the car. The injured passengers were swiftly treated and taken to the hospital. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, but it is believed that driver fatigue was the primary factor. -- 2025-03-04
