Car Rental

Featured Replies

Will be moving to CM next month and eventually need to buy a used car, but realize that it may take some time to find a reasonably priced one in good condition. Any referrals for a rental car agency that is reasonably priced and reputable? Any experience on what pricing may be?

Northern Wheels and Avis at the airport are not bad. At least you get a fairly modern car as opposed to some others here in CM. Also make sure that you are actually insured by them for the car you drive.

As far as prices go...it can vary from around 900 baht to 1400 baht a day depending on the time of year and car you rent. You can normally strike a discounted deal if it is longer than 7 days.

Rented a car last year from Northern wheels...great service, car was less than one year old and no problems when I handed it back. Rented it for 7 days and cost 6500 baht.

Finally it is worth checking on whether the service includes a replacement car or repair anywhere in Thailand should you have an accident or break down.

Good luck

Not sure if you can book through Opodo, I pre booked and paid for in advance in the Uk ,used an Opodo discount code and got a brand new Toyota Vios from Avis for 800 a day for 10 days.
