I need to go to Penang tomorrow to obtain my ED visa ~ my friend has just opened a visa run business which returns on the same day ~ it drops off visa applications in the early morning and picks them up in the afternoon ~ Everyone I've talked to has told me they only know of leaving visa app. overnight and picking up the next day. My friend with new business says he was informed that it is no problem to pick up the same day. Can anyone clarify or confirm this??. Many Thanks in advance. I would like to give my friend the business if feasible.

Most embassys' are only open the to public from 8 till noon. They process the paperwork in the afternoon and pick up is usually the following day. Maybe your friend is using an agent. Friends are only friends if their is no money involved, other wise it is called doing business.

The last time I was in Penang you put in your visa application in the morning, or your agent did and the tourist visa's were returned the same afternoon. Type O's, B's and ED visa's were returned the next day. The agent I use can sometimes get your O.B or ED returned the same day but you pay a premium for this service.
