The BIB have to get more original. Suspect drowned/fell while trying to abscond with that 10 meter of log chain which was tied around his neck.

-robblock- before you lough to much.

First, I reached out at the black -Africa- and the white Caucasian -Ex-UDSSR- not only the black, even, I like theire work, as I wrote.

Second, when its so obvious, that the ladys selling theire bodys, so work and get not cought, even when they admit that in a hotel lobby in an argument with a customer than, the only reason can be,

That there is no working at all involved, as there is no Prostitution in Thailand allowed, so there is none.

I do laugh a lot about you not even being able to correctly copy my name. Plus that your thinking that your any less of a racist if you also single out a group of whites beside the blacks. Rules should apply for all however i agree doing criminal things should be prosecuted.

But acting like black and eastern Europeans are the only ones braking the rules about working is crazy as all others do it too. But i do differentiate between working and crime criminals whatever skin color they have or where they are from should be prosecuted. Not just the ones you don't like.

Lumpini and Thong Lor Police control the Sukhumvit area, one and two of the most corrupt Police stations in Bangkok respectively.

According to whom? and based upon what?

Common knowledge in Bangkok amongst seasoned expats and the Thais, based upon incidents such as the Santika fire amongst many.

I know a couple of cops that work in both places and both will admit this is the case, after a few whiskies of course and off the record.

Also -

if they are the top earners, well other cops should desire to station then..... i bet.....

And funnily enough, the two places I mentioned are the most desirable postings. They are in the wealthiest areas of Bangkok too.

So according to rumor and anecdotal evidence ......

Got it!

We can certainly rule out Bangrak , din daeng, khlong toey etc then as being #1 or #2 :)

Sounds like death by natural selection to me. Maybe a darwin award winner. who is going to miss a drug dealer anyway, not me for sure wish the BIB would come to dc area where i live.

All those africians along sukumvit drive me crazy . I cringe everytime i have to go to Bumrungrad as they make my trip hell trying to aviod them .

10 years ago when i first came to BKK now on my 24th trip you didn't have to dodge all the scams, africain drug dealers, and such. You could actuallly have a good time without much worry .sadly. \Now it is a full time job avoiding getting conned. They have found a way of taking the fun out of a vacation i am not coming back to Thailand for a bit because they have turned my favorite vacation spot into a sressfull experiance it is amazing how sukumvit rd has nose dived

For you guys who say leave, who needs you here anyway . it is time to open your eyes and see what is really going on .

good luck everyone i will be watching from the sidelines i know enough thai to keep me on my toes in the USA

Ah so :jap: ... another suspect die in accident.

Yes as mentioned .... convenient for the competitors and convenient for the cops if there are missing drugs or cash

But also convenient for the suppliers who now don't have to worry about being named by the drug dealing suspect.

Ah so ...... Amazing Thailand :jap: ..... always happy ending :jap:

They're not even close, nor is Wat Praya Krai or any of the other central cop-shops. Which is why they are sometimes used to conduct raids on Thong Lor and Lumphini territory, such as recently during the child porn scandal in Lumphini Police jurisdiction which was attended by officers from other Bangkok police stations.

When you see all these black African guys sitting on the steps of buildings on Sukumvit, what do you think they are doing? Offering tour services?

Thai immigration needs to stop these people and ask what they hell they are doing in Thailand. Should revoke the 30 day immediate visa for certain countries.

its there constant lottering in Soi 5 that gets me, they just stand there on the road, with the ' women ' offerering there services on the corner... it is SO obvious what they are doing the Police MUST be paid up

Its not that simple. none of those guys carry anything at all. They are just scouts, what do you think their back packs are full of YABA ? they are not that stupid and like cockroaches you cant stomp on them, their system is very tight.

Again, other places "not even close" is based upon speculation, opinion, rumor. The anecdotal evidence only backs up rumor :) The fact that Bangrak (which had the same stuff on sale, and the slum clearance fire) not being targeted could imply that the area is more corrupt or less corrupt, but as in the above examples it would only be speculation or opinion :)

based upon speculation, opinion, rumor.

It's based on what more than one Police officer has told me and also 27 years of personal experience.

Correct ... speculation, opinion, and anecdotal evidence. Nothing empirical, nothing statistical, just an opinion (possibly an informed opinion but probably not because there is nothing to measure by.)

I'll take a Lumphini police officer's knowledge in such matters as the best available source of information available over any possibly available statistics thanks. :jap:

Discussion of Nigerian Drug Dealer Falls To His Death In Bangkok While Fleeing From Police would be on topic to this thread. Discussion of Lumpini and Thong Lor Police being the most corrupt Police stations in Bangkok would be another topic altogether.

Anymore off topic discussions will be deleted. Lets get back on topic.

Why do you have to avoid them?

If you're not interested in buying anything they will not really bother you.

He's probably a tall chap. Some people do think that they can survive five floors. I remember in the news a girl jumped out of a third or fourth floor unit telling her friend that if she bent her legs then she would survive but she died too.

In Thailand the ground floor is the first so it's really like jumping from four floors.

On other hand he could've been pushed. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think that amphetamines are a Class 1 drug. I also remember the Somalies saying that they didn't want to leave the jail because it's better than their conditions back home.......

Why someone would choose to fly from America to visit Bumrungrad is beyond me. you would think after 24 trips he would be better informed of alternative hospitals elsewhere in Bkk.

well Bumrungrad just happens to have one of the best hand surgeons in asia . i needed work and they were the best choice say what you want but they were better than any hospitail i have been to in the usa plus i train in boxing in bkk i cant say that hunting out hospitials is part of my travel plan but i was told on my first trip if anything happens you go to bumrugrad by everyone who was here

Thai immigration needs to stop these people and ask what they hell they are doing in Thailand. Should revoke the 30 day immediate visa for certain countries.

They are a bit suspect. I would have no trouble if Thai immigration asks for some proof of immediate income or cash on hand before entering the country. I believe that is in the fine print somewhere isn't it? 500 USD equivalent or something? Can't find it at the moment but I am sure I saw that somewhere in my 10 trips there. Of course, if they are dealing, their head boss may just front them the cash, but maybe not.

Just found the "dollar" value for the 30 day normal visa. If accurate, it only requires 10,000 baht. That sets the bar pretty low

Please note that Tourist Visa Exemption does not apply to foreigners holding Travel Document for Aliens issued by these countries.

- Foreigners entering Thailand under the Tourist Visa Exemption category must possess adequate finances for the duration of stay in Thailand (i.e., cash 10,000 Baht per person and 20,000 Baht per family).
