The majority of international transfers into Thailand are SWIFT using 8 character codes for retail banking, Thailand does not use IBAN. The 8 characters are often padded with XXX to suit the normal 11 character arrangement. If I do a transfer from my UK bank it is SWIFT, I do it in the afternoon and in my account the following morning. The time taken for SWIFT can depend on the remitting bank as some will use an intermediary. HSBC charge £5 for the transfer and I send GBP, overall the cost not much different to Wise. Don't know anything about Revolut but as far as Wise goes, they currently use a peer to peer arrangement which can result in very fast transfers if all goes smoothly. Not sure what the new arrangement will be, but I would suspect it will become a SWIFT bank to bank transfer under the Thai Banking Regulations.
