When I go to My Maps I get my list of maps, but there aren't any check boxes on the left to open them; if I click the map title I go to the title, created date etc., but the map doesn't appear - all I get is the map of the USA!

Could anyone please advise, in semi-dummy language, how I can manage to get the left-side check boxes to appear?

I am logged in, and using Windows 7 and Chrome.

Thanks in advance,

I don't get any tickboxes on the left of the lists either. No problem, I just click on the link itself, then a page with the map comes up. There is a button "edit" to edit the map.

If you just et a USA map there may be a problem with your browser/cache/internet connection. First thing to try is to clear your browser cache - click the wrench on the top-right of Chrome, then click tools > clear browsing data > empty the cache.

Phil, I emptied the cache, then I made a new map, went back, clicked it and it appeared. Great - but then I made another new map, tried the same trick and all I got was the first map I had made. In fact, now that is the only one I get for whichever My Map I try to open. But at least it is a change from the USA map.

Strange things these computers!

Are you using True by any chance? They seem to have some odd problems with their caching proxy server (which their customers are fed through automatically)

Google Maps does not work here either, using the much more functional Bing Maps instead.

Haven't tried Bing - maybe this is a good time to give it a whirl?
