I am going to Phuket (Kata Beach) for about a week starting 8 October. I am meeting some of my family who are coming over from Oz for a holiday.

The vegetarian festival is on around this time...I live in Trang so I know whats happening here...but can anyone tell me some details about what happens in Phuket. Where and when is the best place to see some of the 'goings on' - in Phuket Town, around the coastal villages or at any particular temples.
