April 26, 201115 yr Hi - stopped following this a while back - at the time TRUE seemed to be offering high local speeds with 56k for international - or at least that's how it felt. Would be interested to know what the best packages are if now more than 56k international - TRUE especially as switching package avoids paperwork. TIA Those about to post about 'search function' and 'covered already' Don't. I am not retired and don't have time to scroll through months of posts to extarct info.
April 26, 201115 yr Happy with 3bb premier but it's pricey at 2500/month for 5Mbit That said the current international bandwidth "shortage" isn't so much an actual lack of international capacity as it is a lack of cheap capacity. There's plenty of bandwidth, but it costs money, and so the providers severely oversubscribe their lines. That's all.
April 27, 201115 yr Author Nikster thanks for your reply. If there is anyone using TRUE packages what I want to know is what is the difference in international speed between my current 2MB? package and the 16MB package - it is not worth spending money on a 16MB LOCAL (yes we know its local) connection if it has EXACTLY the same international bandwidth NOW: IF under the SAME CONDITIONS the 16MB local package is for example 8x faster than 2MB on international link then I would be interested - if it is the same speed then why would I pay more for increased local speed when I want increased international speed. i.e. I want to know if a 16MB package has proportionally, or at least meaningfully higher international bandwidth as 2MB package or if international bandwidth allocation is the same for both packages. Yeah I have tried TRU but am not really getting answers from them............
April 27, 201115 yr Author Where are you ? Without a location your question and our answers are useless Bangkok within sight of TRUE tower
