Unbelievably Slow Wireless Connection In Bkk

Featured Replies

I just moved back to Bangkok and my wife has a DTAC wireless connection (with EDGE modem ), but it is about 10 times as slow as my 56k connection was 5 years ago in Australia. I gave up waiting on it long ago, and now use the local internet cafe, but all the noisy kids are driving me nuts. Thinking about getting a wired connection in our apartment, which she thinks could be as little as 500 baht/month. Any suggestions for who to go with ? Or are buildings ( we're in a condo in outer BKK ) only wired up for one or two internet providers ?

Sorry if this is a simplistic question....I know little about internet connection.

I use TOT 3G and that is super fast, get down to local TOT place and ask for details

This would save you wiring your place up

Talk to the condo office, they will tell you what services are available to you. Wired connections are much faster than 3G. The company will install it for you with a wireless modem if you want. As low as 399 baht a month.
