Asked around me all day long but this was news to everybody I talked to. I would have thought it would be of consuming interest to all Thais.

BTW OP, don't mean to appear pedantic, but technically in Thai Royal circles the proper prefix to address The King is HM {His Majesty}.

I understood that the procedure was done yesterday / last night as it was on Radio Thailand this morning.

We all wish His Majesty a speedy and complete recovery.
