It's not valid waste of time and I think you'll find my reply was correct. In any hotel I've been in with my wife, we've always been respected. Your definition of respect is slightly narrow. I would add courtesy and politeness. I've never been in a hotel in Pattaya with my wife so I wouldn't know about that. -
