Second Marriage Extension Based On Money In Bank

Featured Replies

My current non O visa extension (based on marriage to a thai national) expires on 17 September and I will be applying for another extension on the 17 August at Chiang Mai immigration office.

I will be using the 400000 in the bank again seasoned for 3 months.

Can anyone tell me if this 3 months is calculated from the expiry date of my last extension (17 sept) or the application date ( 17 Aug).

Your comments will be apprecited.

Application date.

Money in the bank has to be there for 2 months prior to applying.

One or two offices may want 3 months though.

If you go to KL you will be able to get a 1 year Non 'O' based on marriage to Thai. You only need to show funds of 100,000 baht in the bank.

Do a search to confirm.

Good luck....

Note: Money has to be in your account only, not a joint account. Chiangmai immigration is 3 months.

Don't forget the bank letter - valid for 1 week.

Can you confirm that Chiang Mai three month requirement is current? The official requirement is two and that appears to have been confirmed within the last several months as policy. Before that there was both two and three requirements.

Money has to be in your ( only your name on account )account for 60 day before visa extension application date for the first extension and 90 days for consecutive extensions.

Don't forget, when you receive the visa abroad you have to do the 90 day visa runs. :(
