Coming to Thailand
I guess I would have to go all the way back to Finland, if they denied entry? They wouldn't let me go to a neighboring country or even further, like Japan instead? -

Harris Blows an Easy Interview, Trump Pounces: She is Just Joe Biden Redux
Actually, I seem to remember seeing Hilary doing a beer AND a shot at a bar during her campaign. Looked like it wasnt her first time. That evening. Certainly not as obviously phony as Pow Wow Chow Senator Warren and her faux "think I'll have me a beer" video performance, where she actually drank about 0.25ml of the beer before whisking it away. -

Why Do You Even Drink?
Yeahhhh, but you decided to take a detour down this lane: 🤑"Most of them might be losers, came here after a failed marriage, insufficient funds, or any other low income, hoping to forget their misery by buying booze and sometimes sex. Poor life I'd say." So you got this reply: 🙄 "It never fails to amaze me, the number of "Holier Than Thou" and "Richer Than You" types who can't wait to pontificate on Aseannow about being morally superior to other expats here." I thought the shoe fit, so I put your foot into it and tied the laces for ya.- 1

Phuket Employer Faces Legal Action Over Illegal Worker Incident
In over 2 decades, this is the first time I've read news of an employer being charged with illicit employment. I wonder if the employer is Thai. They should check some of the dodgy schools here. -

Putin Urged to Deploy Nuclear Weapons to Expedite War and Sever NATO Supply Routes
There are strategic and tactical nuclear warheads. Those are very different in "efficiency". If you want to sink air carrier you don't have to go "Full Monty Hiroshima" over it. One hypersonic "flying sausage" will do it just fine, and jelly fishes won't feel sh*t. WW3 means strategic mayhem. Its different -

Illegal land occupation
I believe that is the case, particularly as that was just for the land and there is a decent house on it, which the lawyer has told me my gf now owns too. -

Why Do You Even Drink?
Yeah - you and me both, and there must be more of us out there. It's something about getting older and changes in the metabolism. It just doesn't feel like it use to. Alcohol, weed, even "other stuff" (I won't elaborate other than to say - "Timothy Leary's dead...Noooo, no no, he's outside, looking in, Driving that train, high on cocaine, Casey Jones you better, watch your speed," and Carlos Castaneda and his brujo friends). Most mind-altering, feel good stuff is now in the "Been There, Done That, It Was Fun, Don't Feel Like Doing It Anymore Because It Doesn't Have The Same 'Feel') category. So now I just get my jollies in different ways without the buzz. But with that said, I know many guys and gals who quite literally drink themselves into an early grave and alcohol, bars, and hanging out with others who like to get hammered is a central part of their lives right up into their elderly years. It's funny, I have a friend like that, a bit younger than me, who now has some serious health problems...and suddenly his kids, grand-kids, and family have become really important to him. It's good to see. I have wondered how many of the bar-flies will hang with him to the end? But family and non-bar-fly friends have become important. That's something to celebrate. But if the bar-flies want to indulge, more power to them. I'm not going to knock it, but now it's just not my cup of tea. But for everyone else? Up to you! -

Why Are You Even Here? The Surprising Attitudes of Some Expats in Thailand
Well Mrs G will cook what she 'knows' I want to eat, with own twist. We do have some ding dongs on the fact I strangely want some more greens and color at dinner, but she's the cook and gets a little bit aggravated if I want to step in and 'advise' She calls it her 'secret menu' Again joys of being married to a Thai -

Frozen in time: British expats losing out on pensions in Thailand
The Canada Pension Plan(CPP) is a contributory earnings based social program. The UK state pension is a contributory earnings based pension scheme. However Because the CPP is a "member-contributed plan", it will always be yours, regardless of where you live in the world. -

Putin Urged to Deploy Nuclear Weapons to Expedite War and Sever NATO Supply Routes
I don't think you understand what you're saying. If NATO openly unleashes a hot war against Russia in Ukraine, that's clearly a step on the escalation ladder. It would signficantly increase the risk of nuclear war between Russia and the NATO countries, because conventionally Russia is no match for NATO, so a hot war on the boder with Russia which leaves Russia exposed to invasion by NATO, that could clearly escalate very easily into a nuclear war if Russia thinks its souvereignty is endangered. To their credit even Biden and Harris did not come up with that.
