2 year old child dies following sexual assault. Transsexual legal guardian questioned

PATTAYA: -- A transsexual is prime suspect in a case of sexual assault and suspected murder of a 2 year old boy. Late on Friday Night, the child was taken to Banglamung Hospital by the suspect, his mother and friend who claimed to have found the child convulsing. They rushed the child to Hospital but he was declared dead-on-arrival. Doctors conducted a basic examination of the boy and found evidence of bite marks on his body and evidence of forced penetration to his anus

Whether the marks had been there for some time or not is irrelevant. The fact he has them is not. Someone did it, if the guardian can't give an explenation then he should be in jail awaiting a court hearing. But, this is Thailand, I had personal experience of a similar situation a few years ago. An eighteen month old baby was beaten into a coma by his father, the mother watched it but did nothing. He survived that, just, and my wife and I paid the hospital bills and took the child to live with us as the mother is related to my wife. The child was severely brain damaged and died a couple of weeks later. Once the police had realised that me, a farang could not be blamed for it, they lost interest. Unless the family pressed charges and paid the police to do so, they weren't interested! I contacted the local 'media mogul' personally but his media organisation wouldn't get involved. Maybe I was wrong and should have paid a couple of hundred thousand to have this prick prosecuted. I got a little satisfaction by beating crap out of him and he moved to Chiang Mai. In Thailand life is worthless, unless you have money and influence even murdering babies is acceptable. I fear the suffering of this boy will go unpunished.

No, friend....

murdering babies or any human is.... never acceptable here in Thailand nor any place else....

It just takes a lot longer and a lot more efforts and time.... in countries such as Thailand and some others in Asia.... to proceed with the case....

but if you lost your will and your patient.... the case could have ended there.... where your will.... withers....

The wheel of justice just grinds very slowly in most developing countries.... to the utmost dismay and despair of most westernized citizens. :jap:

I can't agree with you Vont. The case to which I refer happened 3 or 4 years ago, the baby was cremated, no one has been prosecuted or even investigated.

Wish you can share more details where search and inquiry in Thai can proceed.

Can you help to provide specificities pls, for the sake of the infant and those concerned like yourself? thx much.

As I do not frequent Thaivisa as often as before, perhaps a pm would be much appreciated.

UPDATE

Mystery surrounds recent sexual assault and death of 2 year old child in Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- Mystery continues to surround the sexual assault and subsequent death of a 2 year old child on Friday Night. The prime suspect in the case, the child’s legal guardian, Khun Pornchai aged 34 was called to Banglamung Police Station on Sunday Afternoon to discuss the case and attempt to explain aspects of the death which were still not clear. Initial claims that Khun Pornchai, a transsexual, had undergone gender-reassignment surgery were confirmed by a female police officer which in-turn confirmed that he could not have taken part in penetrative sex with the child.

UPDATE

Further update on Child death and Sexual Assault case from East Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- Investigations into the tragic death of a 2 year old child under the care of his transsexual legal guardian are continuing. The Police Region 2 Child and Women Protection Unit has taken over the case and has now received the initial report from the forensic lab suggesting the child died of respiratory arrest. Allegations of the child being sexually assaulted were still being investigated but are not thought to have directly led to the death of the child. Other tests are continuing, especially in relation to bodily fluids found in the anal passage of the boy. On Monday Afternoon, Khun Pornchai, the legal guardian of the child presented himself to the Police Station and received permission from the Police to proceed with the funeral. A death certificate was issued for the boy and permission from Pattaya City Hall was obtained to collect the body of the boy from the Police Forensic Institute in Bangkok.

In a situation like this where the police is reluctant to act one can contact the Duang Prateep Foundation.

I dunno, maybe it's just me, but it seems as though there are more and more disgusting stories coming forth from Pattaya these days; more so than just a few years ago. In the book, "Confessions of a Bangkok Private Eye", written by an Aussie who started his own PI biz some years ago to tail mostly Thai bar girls who were being courted by hapless male farangs while they were back in their home countries and shelling out untold sums to their true loves here, Pattaya is constantly referred to as being "Sleaze by the Sea". Based on what I read going on there more recently, it's only gotten sleazier. This story goes beyond the run-of-the-mill sleaze however, and sinks into an even more tragic category.

I agree, but I don't think it's just Pattaya, it's Thailand as a whole. Human life, even a baby's is worth nothing unless you have the money to pay for a prosecution.

....it's Thailand as a whole....

just how long have you been in thailand.... ?

or are you in thailand at all at the moment....?

to so boldly stating something.... so inconclusive.... ?

have been in thailand many years now.... and do not agree with what you think nor what you said....

concerning your above statement?

care to explain a little more ....? B)

Not sure that "Pay for prosecution" is the term I would use. Pay a attorney to ensure that the case is prosecuted and to keep it active before the courts may be a more apt description. This description is based on conversations I had with the father of a girl who was murdered in Thailand. He felt, what I have described, was the only chance he had of preventing monies from changing hands and thus investigation/prosecution was likely to be put in the inactive file.

From the most recent article linked above:

He confessed to playfully biting the child and even confirmed that he playfully bit the child’s penis on occasion but stressed there was no sexual reasons for doing this.

WHAT? Now, I'm not a parent, but I can't imagine any time when a parent (man or woman) would EVER "playfully" bite a child's penis. I would think that any parent would be disgusted by the thought of that. Am I wrong?

As I've written on here a couple of times before, unless you have the money therefore the influence to make the police do something, then forget it. It's acceptable to abuse and kill anyone, even babies as long as no one cares enough to force the authorities to take action. Sorry Ms Vont, but if you had read my previous posts, I do live here, have done for many years, and have had personal experience of a similar case.
