90 Day Border Run Due On 28Th (Multi-Entry)

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a multi-entry Non Imm O based on marriage and a current WP.

I was supposed to go on a run today (27th) but was sick all night. I have a consultation at Bumrungrad hospital tomorrow (28th) with reference to a brain aneurysm which I have been advised should be done fairly quickly.

If I go on a border run 1 day late (Ban Laem, Cambodia) what are the possible consequences for me, particularly with a current WP?

Appreciate any advice.

It will mean that you are on overstay and will be fined 500 baht a day. That should be all there is to it.

You can apply for a 60 day extension from immmgration if you want today. You will need to bring the misses along, together with marriage certificate, her ID-card and household registration and a passport photo and 1,900 baht.

Thanks for the quick response Mario.

Unfortunately I am in BKK and the wife is attending a wedding in Korat.

I am ok about the 1 day overstay but just concerned about how it affects my WP.

I will be applying for the 'extension of stay' when my current Non Imm O expires in September.

Believe no effect for the WP and you will not be working during the overstay.

You cna also get an extension of stay today if you can get a letter from the hospital that you cannot travel in your condition. The hospital has excellent liason with immigration. You might want to contact them, although it is short notice.

Yes. Bit too late unfortunately. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and see what happens at the border.

Thanks for the help anyway.
