skinnymat
When would we have to apply for ILR for my wife who is on a spouse visa at the moment? When she arrived her visa was dated 15/02/10 to run to 15/05/12. She arrived here on the 17/02/10. Thanks for any help.
knortyboy
For the UK it's 17/02/12 - Two years after the date she arrived. Actually she can apply 28 days before this date.

7by7
As said above, the earliest she can apply is 28 days before the 2nd anniversary of her first arrival in the UK with her spouse visa; i.e. 20/1/12 (if I've counted back correctly!). The latest she can apply is the expiry date of her spouse visa; i.e. 15/5/12. As leave to enter and remain application fees are usually subject to above inflation increases every April, I'd suggest applying as soon as she is able so she gets it in before that year's increase. See Completing application form SET(M) for how to apply. I've amended the topic title to include 'UK.'
