BOBDIGITAL
Looking for a legitimate local Bangkok childrens charity, childrens home, orphange etc - (kids around 10-16 yrs would be good as we have a couple of football match tickets to donate) - any website links would be appreciated. Can't find any that look real on Google. We don't live in Bangkok so hoping someone on this forum might have been to one recently or at least know about somewhere? Need direct charity contact details as we will not be sending the tickets to anyone to 'pass on'! Many Thanks.

kerm99
I would highly recommend Father Joe. http://www.mercycentre.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=50&Itemid=81〈=en Last time George Bush came to Thailand, he visited his operation. It is very humbling to visit what he has build. Cheers,
gregb
This is the one I always donate to. Nice to go there in person and walk around and see the children. Bring gifts and snacks for them. Just leave it at the front desk and they'll make sure they are distributed appropriately to the children. http://www.phayathaibabieshome.go.th/ As for your tickets, I'm sure if you explained your desires to the people at the front desk, they would help locate some of their older children who would most appreciate your offer. But you could have some issues with actually getting the children to the match. There would also be issues of transport and supervision that you would have to work out with the staff.
