up2you2 Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Allegedly a jincock short fused my external inverter air conditioning unit. To save this from happening again, at a considerable cost, has anybody devised some kind of protection, that still leaves an adequate free flow of air circulation around the unit?
Crossy Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 What are jinjocks? Are you sure you live in Thailand They are the little Gekkos that run about your walls eating mosquitoes To the OP, do you know where in the unit he got fried? If so maybe the application of some mozzie netting in that area would help. These little chaps are very good at getting into places you would not believe. "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Household lizards are called "Jing Jok" ( จิ้งจก).
trogers Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Had my Stiebel water heater shorted out by one over 5 years ago. Now all my electrics are protected by my RCB (Safe-T-Cut) unit set at 16-20 mA.
