The recent trend when all sorts of fugitive criminals from all over the world settle down in Pattaya is very disturbing. It has been maybe a little over a month since some Aussie murderer got caught and then two Czech bank robbers. Maybe Thailand should introduce more thorough ID checks on the border...

er, "Recent Trend". Surely you jest. Has been a haven for all sorts for many years.

However, other towns in Thailand have their fair share, eg. The English builder in Hua Hin who was alleged to be involved in the shooting of the old American guy. He skipped bail while waiting sentence in UK

It seems many times the Thai officials are made aware of the fugitive being in their jurisdiction and even a address is provided, by the country who has arrest warrants out for them. It may be that the pursuers have the contacts to know where to start looking and are putting pressure on the BIB to follow through.

I wonder after a period in jail, with little food how well his ability to comunicate in English improves.......:whistling:
