Featured Replies

Hi there, we intend to drive from Chiangmai to Nan...some advice needed, which are the routes avaliable and travelling time...

Many thanks....

I would go 11 past Lampang to Denchi and 101 up to Nan at Den chi go straight follow the sign to Praee other roads are slow and curvy you get a lot of 4 lane this route. Maybe 5 hour trip.

..you can turn left as you come down off the mountain (1023) before Den Chai..this road takes to into Phrae where you can keep to the right of the city (1022) and join up with the highway again (101)..saves at least 30 minutes.

Lamphun route, as suggested, is best. It's a leisurely 5 hours and can be done in under 4.5. Phrae to Nan is winding, but usually with little traffic. I've done the trip many times, but was not aware of the "short cut" before Den Chai,. Will try it next time.

Thanks all for the info....i think as suggested via Lamphum, Lampang is a good choice..as for the "short cut" I wonder about the condition of the route which is less travelled....thanks again..
