Renewing Passport In Hong Kong

Featured Replies

Will be sending my application for a new passport tomorrow after a trip through the washing machine.

What is the best delivery service to use from Thailand for secure arrival without spending a fortune?

Thanks

Mac

I sent mine from the local post ofice using EMS(400baht). No problems. I then paid the extra on the application for HK to send it back to me via DHL, 800baht.

They suggest you use DHL though some posters have reported sending their application by regular mail.

You will be aware that you only send a copy of your bio page, I'm assuming you can make a good copy of your "laundered" passport.

I did the same....EMS from Thailand....DHL on return.

I sent 31st May and noticed from my bank statements that the credit card payment was debited on June 3rd.

Passport came back without any issues, around 5 weeks door to door, very painless!!

I guess the biggest problem people will come across is the payment as they only allow cheques in HK currency or credit card payment.

Bangkok Bank debit cards are also accepted.
