Anyone have advice as to where to purchase a HD Camcorder? Since I live here 100% of the time what I am looking for is a shop in Bangkok that has a good selection of makes as well as reasonable prices. Am seriously thinking of getting Sony's new model 160, replacement for the 150 but the Sony stores don't carry it yet. Really don't know that much about the Canon line, is there product any good? Any ideas?

The only thing I have noticed is that the price of camcorders has nose dived ever since SLR cameras started offering HD video along with the standard single shot options. It is nice having it all in one camera.

Have you been to Pantip Plaza? Everything you can dream of, they got them there. You can wheel and deal there. Sometimes on the weekend they would have special offers from different factories. You can get good deals there, I think.
