For all you CM folks when I come back in a few months where is a good place to take Thai cooking classes.

Inside the city, in the tourist areas, if you drive around and see some of the shop that sell tours etc you will find many as well as in the many travel and guide books around Chiang Mai

Taste From Heaven on ThaePae (about 2 blocks east of the gate) does a super job. One day classes, not more than 6 students, no MSG. They even have a video on YouTube. Check it out!

Gap's house (walk into the old city "through" Thae Pae gate and it's down a Soi on your left about 1km in).

It's also a nice place to stay, old Thai house in tranquil garden surroundings off the beaten track, although the walls are a bit thin if your neighbour is a snorer or worse.
