June 26, 201115 yr Hi Forum, I cracked my ifox GPS screen, while it was a piece of sheet, it did at least get me close to were I wanted to go. but its time for it to be put in the bin where it belongs..... I strongly recommend anyone to never ever buy it. Now, I hear tomtom in available in Thailand which I loved when I used it in Sydney, too bad I sold when I came here as they did not have the Thailand map a few years ago. So does anyone know if there is any differences in the iphone tomtom app and the real tomtom device?
June 26, 201115 yr I have used the stand-alone TomTom devices in Europe "for year". One year ago I moved to the iPhone version I found no difference in the main task "GPS navigation". But I don't use any of the other gadgets like speed-traps or live traffic conditions. I am also now using the Thai TomTom App because I have my iPhone (3 GS, 32 GB) always with me. I would strongly recommend the TomTom iPhone dock, too. First it gives you a quite more accurate, faster and stronger GPS signal. Additionally you got a good dock with charging (GPS navigation really eat a lot of battery!) and a hand-free phone option.

Forgive me but what does iTunes, which is a music and entertainment download, have to do with an iPhone GPS application. TomTom Car Kit (car dock) for iPhone should be available from TomTom dealers. If there are no TomTom dealers in Thailand, sorry.
