As far as I'm aware, they are no longer legal tender. The only place that will exchange them is the Bank of England in Threadneedle St. London

Thanks, I know they have been replaced (definition of 'legal tender' is sketchy .... guess I will have to see what I can so as I am holding about 2100 GBP in them :)
