OK the 1.900 for immigration but what would be a fair amount to pay someone/agency/accountant to prepare company docs for an extension based on the work permit from company you work for.

If based on employment you simply submit the papers requiered for an extension of stay based on employment, no need to show photo's etc of marriage.

If you need more time, you can get a 60 day extension based on your marriage without the need to show income.

Just take your wife, her ID and household registration and marriage certificate with you.

Cheers, I was pretty sure that was the case as I had already asked at immigration but the accountant is asking for docs like it is based on marriage, pics etc ....cheers again

In some areas this type of extension (Thai Police Order 777/5551 Section 2.24 - 60 Day Visiting Spouse) may cause problems when you try to renew your Work Permit, since it is considered by some Regional Labour Departments as a 'non working' extension like the retirement extension.

It may also well be a better solution to apply for an extension based on marriage to a Thai rather than working (if not a teacher) as the paper trail is a lot smaller; plus you get to keep your extension when you change jobs. If you go down the marriage withThai income route you may also need less income/tax paid if you are European/American.
