Non-B Visa - Just Got Let Go, Need Some Advice

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

Just got the bullet today from my job, I am currently on my first Non Imm B visa( 3months) which expires on August 12th, my work permit expires in another 5 months ( I know this now terminates with immediate effect)

Question is, can I

1) stay in Thailand until the Non-B expires

2) do I have to pay the 1900bt to get the 7 day extra stay

3) I have a return flight to KL booked on the, 16th July back the 17th( 10 days away) , could I stay until then , will I have to pay 500bt a day overstay until then or will i be covered to stay until then with my Non B Visa which expires on Aug 12th and just come back in on the 30 day tourist visa as I will be flying back from KL??

Any advice would be really appreciated!

Thanks.

If you are still using your VISA obtained at an embassy overseas then you can remain until the end of the stay stamped in your passport.

It is only an EXTENSION obtained at immigration in Thailand that dies with the employment.

You should also be able to change to non 0, retirement visa if say you are 50 years old and can show proof of pension or income from abroad, 65,000 Bhat per month.
