Wifi Palm Computer To Check The Web + Emails

Featured Replies

can someone give me some ideas on what I should look for in a Palm PC size computer to check the web ....

Say I wanted to check this site while I was in BKK , I find a WiFI spot

What do I need to buy to check the web ?

A full size computer is too large, heavy and expensive,

A PDA seems too small , is there something in between these 2 , prefer with a keyboard, even a small keyboard that I can use with a pencil.

Thanks for your help

If PDAs are too small for you, then the only option left to you is either using tablet pc or an ultra compact Notebook such as Sony Vaios.

If you hate small screens, you might try the HP hx4700 pocket pc, which has a VGA display (480 x 600 pixels). Dell make a similar model, both have WIFI/bluetooth. Very nice to read off, compared to a regular PDA (320 x 240 or something like that). Get yourself a *good* portable keyboard and away you go - very nice for mobile browsing and email.

Add a GPRS/EDGE mobile phone for mobile internet access and you are connected nearly anywhere in Thailand. Which is a curse, by the way...

Some Sub Note PC's are really small.. Not much bigger than the keyboard itself..

Believe it or not, Nokia has a very good web browser coming out soon, Its basically a mini-tablet, PDA sized device that as far as I know is designed solely for browsing the internet. Has Wireless internet built in and is just a browser, but should be very good value.
