Hi, I’m a Thai married to a CostaRican citizen. My husband has a 1 year multiple entry type O visa for visitingfamily. We also have 1 child together and are currently living in Thailand.

I know that one of the requirementfor a 1yr visa extension is 40,000baht monthly income or 400,000baht in thebank account, which is a little bit of an issue for us. I want to know if it’spossible to apply for a new O visa in a Thai embassy of neighboring countries suchas Laos or Cambodia? Or can he only do it in his home country?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

He can apply for a multiple non-O in Kuala Lumphur, if he has 100,000 baht in a bankaccount in his name (doesn't have to be in Thailand.)

He will also need, copy of your ID-card, copy of houshold registration and marriage certificate.

Without money in the bank it will be a single non-O in Asia, or apply in Australia for a multiple.
