Vientiane or Sawanakhet for visas I CHOSE,yes chose never to fly. I always caught a train ( My first preference ) or bus. This thread is about people who like to, prefer to, travel on the ground. We DO NOT want to fly overland. Got it ,Now?People with more money than sense ,seem to fly, overland. Not US. We appreciate the experiences we have. We appreciate the people we meet. I suspect that if you had one more bxxxxn, it would be pretty bloody lonely .How many times did I say OVERLAND. Never once did I mention overseas. Logic ,you apparently lack. However you could do a part of your journey by train in SepticTank Land. If you so chose. I do believe you still do run trains. About the same speed as Thailands? I seem to keep reading that Amtrak has more accidents than our little 3rd world country here. Without mentioning your bankers and the damage they did to the Global economy, for which we are eternally grateful .
