Theoreticalquestion, if I am issued a 1 Year Non-Imm B multi-entry visa ( as I have beenoffered employment by a Thai company). When would I need to apply for a WP?

Andin the case that the company cannot provide a work permit, or the 3month probationperiod does not work out and employment is terminated, I would still have the visa, which means I could stayin Thailand? Or would Immigration ask to see a WP when doing 90day visa runs?

Thanks

You need a work permit when you start working, or you brake the law. That includes during the probation period. It carries a maximum jail time of 5 years and/or fine of 100,000 baht.

If the employment is terminated, your multiple non-B visa and entries would remain valid. Only extensions of stay from immigration would become invalid.

You do not need to show your WP when doing a border run.
