Can some one give me some advice please? Is it possible for a female from the fills, in the UK on a work visa to marry to a UK citizen, and then remain in the UK . Granted she would have to pass the life in the UK test, but the question is, can she marry here on here current visa, i.e work visa. thanks for your input.

Yes, she can.

See this post for various links to the procedure for registering the marriage.

The difference between her and the person in that other topic is that the person in that topic is in the UK as a visitor and so cannot apply for settlement in the UK but will have to return home to do so. The person here is in the UK with a work permit, so she can apply to remain in the UK without having to return home, unless her visa was originally for 6 months or less.

Once married she would apply for Further Leave to Remain, which lasts for two years; during which time she passes the Lit UK test or an ESOL with citizenship course. At the end of the two years she can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain.
