Enter your visa number on the entry card and make sure they stamp your permission to stay for 90 days. At the end of the 90 days, simply exit the country and re-enter, again putting your visa number on the entry card, no special paper work or documents for Thai immigration. Also, if you exit and re-enter just before the visa expiration date, you will still be admitted for a stay of 90 days, so the visa can be used for a stay of about 15 months.

If you intend on using Nong khai for futue 90 trips bare in mind the Laos Visa is a whole page of your passport and will use up your passport pages.Make sure your passport has room.

Just stamp out of Thailand, over the bridge on bus, Visa on entry for Laos, picture required and fill in simple form and pay, then stamp out of Laos, bus over bridge, stamp back in to Thaland after completing entry card.

thanks for the info CharlieH

i will be living in Nong Khai so Laos makes sense for visa runs but might do a run to Cambodia or Vietnam for combined holiday and visa run in the future
