hey

me and the gf took out a postpay 3g card on truemove postpay, as she was getting her hair done, i went and got it using my id (my passport). she recommended the product and it works brilliant, all good so far.

I've now returned to the UK (i will return shortly) and my gf has been a little slow making payment, she still hasn't, will I run the risk of any slapped wrists when i return for non-payment etc etc. i know in the UK you have a credit history and all that jazz but wasn't sure how it worked over in thailand.

strange question i know

Are you 100% certain that you signed a post-paid contract?

Where is the SIM now?

Which plan did you choose?

What is the length of the contract?

Do you have a copy of the contract in hand?

Did you guarantee the contract with a credit card?

Typically foreigners cannot get post-paid contracts here unless they have residency/work permits. DTAC seems to be the exception to this 'rule', and there are many stories about foreigners on tourist visas getting post-paid accounts.

I guess I am surprised you could get a post-paid contract. Obviously, as with any contract, failure to pay has varying contractual penalties, and associated societal ones as well. Without a better understanding of the situation, and the contract, it is impossible to answer your question.

95% of mobile phone users here are pre-paid, next time maybe consider getting a pre-paid card?

all i remember is, they took a copy of my passport, i answered minimal questions, dob, my gf address, etc. and paid for the wifi usb dongle. 1 month after the purchase, the dongle stopped work.

everything makes me think this was a prepay deal, but my gf says she should have a bill, which she doesn't which makes me think postpay also the contract/box they provided I'm sure said postpay.

so with only my passport number, a few a basic details & the dongle cutting out after 1 month, i'm sure it must be prepay. based on your info lomatopo, that sounds right doesn't it?

sorry also, do truemove have a non short code customer service number? like 02012345678? i can't call 1234 from the UK :)

Here is a Link

Looks like they have online chat and an email form.

Strangely enough though, the only real phone number is to something called the "TrueMove iPhone Care Center".

Might be worth a try though, if you don't like the chat, as they should be able to connect you to the right person.
