Malaysian Billionaire Extradited from Thailand to China for Money Laundering
Red notices are only advisories, they require the cooperation of both countries and whether they are acted on or not is up to the authorities of the potential extraditee's country of residence. If that country doesn't want to send him back, that's up to them. -

Malaysian Billionaire Extradited from Thailand to China for Money Laundering
Yeah, I am really surprised. I guess the Red Bull kid has to be like a different type of thing you know everybody got paid off so much money. Nobody wants to take responsibility that he ran over a cop and killed him then took the jet to Singapore. We sent a note saying was too sick to come back, I guess as soon as the limitation or the statue limitation expires will be seeing around Bangkok in new Ferrari TIT -

Pattaya Mayor Unveils Plan to Address Ongoing Flood Issues
I watched over the last few years the widening of Sukhumvit road southwards from Jomtien...I particularly noticed that the drainage pipes were half full of crud, sand, rocks, road building detritus and common old garden rubbish thrown from passing cars or blown by the wind as soon as they were laid then the grading/leveling machines pushed even more crud in....first big rains 2 lanes of flood water in both directions at certain locations. The left hand lane flooding being quite deep, there was also signs of the "popular belief" that water flows up hill ! -

Going short-time only, shallow or succulent?
Lots of jobs have negative long term effects. RSI. Lung problems. CTE, Arthritis. PTSD. Some jobs are dangerous, deep sea diving, steel workers, scaffolders, soldiers etc. Your life would be totally different if people were not allowed to do dangerous jobs. Giving a 'special' massage in an air con room on soi 6 is hardly top of the list. -

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
Sounds like it was pushed back down to a subordinate. I would expect another request for more documents - but who knows. -

Eye surgery.
I'm 51 and don't have that bad eyesight but when getting tested for new specs at a proper optician in the UK where they scan your eyes with all kinds of machines etc to check your vision I mentioned surgery so I didn't need specs. The optician said they didn't recommend it at my age due to problems that could arise and the actual difference it would make. LASIK was one treatment I mentioned. A friend of mine got both eyes done in UK so he didn't need glasses, done a few weeks apart. He said he could see after it but it was the most painful thing he had ever experienced after surgery. -

What Thai dishes are the lowest calories?
I am just below the desired BMI of 25. Genetically, my forebears have all been heavy-boned. No-one in my family has ever had osteoporosis. When I had a bone density scan a year ago, the technician said I was at the top end of the scale. No jokes about my skull, please. Being a the high end of BMI, I feel I have to watch what I eat much more carefully than most. In Thailand, sugar goes into damn near everything. Dairy Home organic yoghurt ( 450 gm tub ) is labelled no added sugar. Presumably it still contains lactose. -

Seeking info. on Pajero 3.0L V6 – any experience / knowledge?
Thanks for all the useful insights. One thing stands out - I haven't seen a single 2.4L petrol Pajero Sport advertised (and I've browsed daily for almost a year)..... so I think that must be a later model at a higher price point. I filter my search using price lowest to highest, and stop when I get to around 450,000 baht. Will take a look anyway, to see what comes up in a slightly higher price bracket. Despite my love of my Toyota V6 (which has to go, owing to old age), it's undoubtedly best to avoid 'uncommon' vehicle engines because of parts issues - even if Mitsubishi know how to service it properly. Just to add - my dislike of diesels has been a lifelong aversion to the clattering racket they make, and the emissions. But recent fairly extensive internet research has unanimously stated that in order to meet emissions regulations, modern diesels are more complex mechanically, with more to go wrong - especially the turbos. This results in the necessity of more maintenance than a petrol counterpart, and more cost / anxiety. Thanks again to all those who offered some advice. -

Teenager Stabs Foreign Man in Road Rage Incident Near Pattaya
I could've had a similar situation a few days ago. I was driving along North Road when this idiot came flying up behind me on a motor bike. I stopped for the red light and he nearly ran straight up my a**e. He yelled out, my wife told me he said why did I stop. He had a savage look on his his face, so I just said chok dee and moved on. I first moved to Pattaya 24 years ago, I only drive my car when I go go to Bangkok or shop at a super market. Normally my transport is baht buses and walking.- 1

Digital wallet scheme may switch to cash to boost economy
Helicopter money? They would be better off investing it in improved infrastructure or sending bright young people abroad to study and get a decent education. -
