webfact
FASHION POLICE Fashion advice for the PM By The Nation Thailand's fashion experts are voicing concern about the country's first female prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra, agreeing that she may need help from a fashion stylist. Blessed with good figure at 44 years old, Yingluck has so far earned her votes from the country's fashion police. However, they hint that as the head of government, she shouldn't take chances about making any fashion fauxpas. Veteran designer Somchai Kaewthong of Kai boutique says his only advice to her would be to have a professional stylist offer regular headtotoe consultations. He adds that as the premiere, Yingluck will be easily targeted and can't afford to make any mistakes in her look. A stylist could help her prepare outfits in advance for every day's needs and for all occasions. Makeup artist Apichart Norasetthaporn admires Yingluck's "balanced" appearance but, like Somchai, he thinks she needs professional assistance with her hair and makeup to get the look perfect. As a makeup artist, Apichart approves of Yingluck's smoky eye makeup as it helps make her tiny eyes look bigger and more sensual. Fashion guru Tinnakorn Assawarak says the present look of Yingluck is a modern executive woman and he supports her for breaking the rules of stereotypical bureaucratic style. In that sense, a stylist can help create her individual style. Tinnakorn, however, points out that Yingluck ought to add some Thai identity by wearing clothes by local designers. He says there are plenty of very good outfits to choose from. "People compare her to Michelle Obama or Carla Bruni or even the Duchess of Cambridge," says one anonymous pundit, "but those women aren't politicians." As for her hair, makeup artist Apichart says it is too tangled while hairstylist Saisuda Chauwiwat Saisuda says that her hair looks sweet and suitable but it has to be cut and styled a little better because she's not a businesswoman in her office any more. She'll often have to be outdoors and her hair could get quite messy. Designer Somchai also says apart from a stylist, the premiere may need a dressing room in her office just to ensure that she has a perfect look for each duty. -- The Nation 2011-08-

sbk
Whats sad is how many people voted for her or judge her based on her looks rather than on any accomplishments, intelligence or her plans for the nation.

Yes, terrible the way some people think that good looks is all you need to get on in life. Which brings me to the subject of your rather attractive avatar, my dear Mistress Whiplash... This is nations matters, clothes and fashion are nothing..with this... I prefer her to be more like Mrs.Angela Merkel..
