Making a trip on the bike to Meuang Buriram from Bangkok. So what's the fastest way?

I know to take highway 1 and then on to 2 but then the road splits. So do I go on the 24 route that will take me through Nang Rong etc or do I take the 226 through Nakorn Rachisima?

The 226 looks like the shorter distance but would it take longer because of travelling through NR?

Anyone know?

Now I'm coming back from Buriram.

The problem is flooding. I'm guessing highway 2 to 1 isn't an option anymore.

How's the 304? Anyone know? And if I do take it how long is the journey?
