I am about to buy a Mitsuibubishi Pajero Sport in Bangkok but I want to check if two children's car safety seats can be connected. My preference would be to install these in the second row of seats (not the back) but I cannot see any anchor points for the tether strap in either the middle or back. So my two questions are 1. are there any existing anchor points but preferably ones that can be used from the second row of seats and 2. if there are not existing anchor points can they be purchased in Thailand and are there spots in the car to which the anchors can be attached.

Yes the child seats are partially fastened in with the seat belts but they also have an strap that is anchored to an alternate point in the car. The anchor point is usually on the floor or roof of the car - not to the seat. Any thoughts?

Roof?? Well this is Thailand so I guess you could put them up there with a proper rack and no one would blink an eyelash .. But seriously I had car seats with my 2 boys but have no idea what you're talking about?? As KB says they all latch to the existing seat belt systems which was a problem when my boys needed them as there were only a few cars here even available with rear seat belts and that's only a few years ago but never seen such a set up and that says a lot, is there any chance you can find your set of seats on the net and post a link maybe?

Oh yeah I have some idea what you're talking about now it's supposed to be a bit easier to use but I haven't seen many seats or vehicles with that system around but then I couldn't even find many seats when my boys were born either, it's only been in the past few years that stores have even begun carrying these sorts of child safety items as there was little/to no market for them.. Had I known I would've brought a couple over from the states but then again my second born was a completely unplanned experience as was the first but at least I knew he was coming before I came over and would've planned for that..

Based on that picture it seems that the floor mount should be an accessory installed by the owner not the car manufacturer and since child car seats are still a relatively unknown commodity here I doubt you'll find any already installed without asking them to install one and then providing it for them, do you have one? If not? A simple eye hook should suffice and they should be able to locate and install them for you if you request it I should think, if you feel you really need that system..
