RAMADI, IRAQ (BNO NEWS) -- At least four people were killed on Thursday and 22 others were injured after two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were detonated in central Iraq, officials said.

The first bomb blast happened in downtown Ramadi, a city located about 110 kilometers (68 miles) west of Baghdad, the country's capital. It happened near a mosque in front of the house of Anbar Police Information Command Captain Hameed al-Dulaimi, local authorities told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA).

The blast at the home, which is located in the Iskan neighborhood of the city, wounded three members of al-Dulaimi's family and caused damage to his house as well as other nearby residences.

The second IED was placed in a garbage container near the mosque and detonated as worshippers walked out after their evening prayers. The explosion killed four people and injured at least 19 others, NINA reported.
