New Drinking Water Kiosks

Featured Replies

I'm not sure where to post this, so I'll just stick it here. Over the past 10 days, I have noticed the installation of at least two small "water fountain" type drinking water kiosks along Sukhumvit - one on the sidewalk down between Soi 19 and Soi 21 (Soi Asoke) - and the other in between Soi 6 and Soi 8. They have just sort of sprung up - like mushrooms. They are slender stainles steel "pillars'', with a small water basin and spot for a spigot.

They do not appear to be plumbed into the ground - so I assume that they will be supplied by bottled water supply. There also does not appear to be a payment slot - so it appears that it will be free water. They appear to be manfactured by Sanwa - or maybe that is the simply the promotional identification of the company donating the kiosks.

Slow news day - so I thought I'd throw this in - something "new" under the (Sukhumvit) sun.

Happy New Year!

Cheers

Hmm.. two days went by and no reply yet. I hope this isn't an answer in itself about the water quality... ;-) I think I'll pass for the moment..

Cheers,
