Tour bus accident in northeastern China kills 4

CHANGCHUN, CHINA (BNO NEWS) -- At least four people were killed after a tour bus crashed in northeastern China on Monday, local authorities said.

The tour bus collided with another vehicle on an expressway in China's northeastern province of Jilin, causing it to crash into a roadside ditch, the Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party told state-run Xinhua news agency.

All of the fatal victims were from Taiwan, including three women and one man. In addition, 17 others were injured. Among them were 15 Taiwanese tourists as well. According to reports, the bus' license plates were from neighboring province of Heilongjiang.

The injured were transported to hospitals in the provincial capital of Changchun, while investigations into the incident are ongoing.
