A British hacker, Ian Wood, 33, from Newcastle has stolen over £35,000 from his neighbours by using info he retrieved from Social Media Sites. In this case Facebook. First he made friends with targets to get their user-names and other info. He then called up customer care and told them that he lost his password. What are your settings at social media sites? What do you do to prevent hacks like this?

Some social media sites don't even have the privacy setting it should have.

Never use the same username and password with other accounts like online banking accounts etc..
