Fake Cop charged with fraud by Pattaya Police

PATTAYA: -- A Thai man, impersonating a Police Officer and claiming to offer low interest rates on loans, was arrested by Police and charged with fraud on Monday. Police were called to a Pub close to Big C in North Pattaya by a group of women who suspected the man was up to no-good. After a short chase Police arrested Khun Somshai aged 39 who claimed he was a Police Officer from Yala Province in the South of Thailand with high-level connections. In fact he was a football referee from Pattaya who claimed he could offer cash loans of up to 100,000 Baht to each of the women with an interest rate of 10%, compared to other money lenders who ask for 20%, the catch was they would have to pay him 10,000 Baht for an admin charge before the cash could be handed over.

Perhaps they could arrest all the real police officers that pretend to be police officers.

Perhaps they could arrest all the real police officers that pretend to be police officers.

But then Thailand would be without police and the entire country would be lawless, which would open the doors for such things as fake police, prostitution, drugs, and known hitmen who can get jobs at the airport. :whistling:
