Hello,

We can't keep our dog, the dog need to go away today. It's a pedigree thai ridgeback with all vaccines and all the papers are ok.

If i don't have someone today to take the dog...

I paid 15 000 baht for it, i'm giving it away. The dog is 8-9 months old. The dog stayed here for 3-4 months.

This dog NEVER attacked any human but he ruined my car today and i wont keep it anymore.

I'm in Hua Hin soi 88, i can go to your place if needed with the dog or you can come to my place, near orchid palms.

Unbelievable! :o

So essentially a puppy who doesn't know any better 'ruins' your car and immediately you want to get rid!

Inadvertant mishaps, chewing up things etc are all part and parcel of owning a puppy - surely you knew that and took appropriate precautions as to areas/things the puppy had access to!

Otherwise can't understand why you own a dog in the first place. If he ruined your car surely that's your fault not his!

Shame on you!

Can i come to your place with my dog ? I believe you have much more love than me for him. I can't keep it, that's all, no matter why. It's like when you quit your wife, when you can't stay anymore you walk away, well, the dog will walk away, not me.

The dog will be better off.....maybe the wife too....do you have any kids ??

By the way...can you post a pic of the car and what he did.......might make us larf a little bit.

Stop the troll please, you should just thank you me of being trying to find a new family for the him instead of just kill him like any vet would do with a crazy dog like this one who can't stop destroying things arround. Two air cons, two motorbikes, 4 chairs, 1 table, xxx pair of shoes, a lot of electrical cables, my honda accord and a lot more... He's just lucky to be alive right now after all of this.

He's not attacking humans but he's attacking everything else, i'm tired of this. He also ate the food of some workers arround here...

I know this is a forum and a lot of trolls like you are arround here, i just want to give this dog to someone and forget about him, i'm not changing my mind no matter what you will try to troll, i'm over tired of this dog. I just want to take him away.

I'm sure that will convince someone to take him off your hands. :whistling:

I hope you do find him a good home as clearly the current one is not suitable for him. A training school can do wonders with that kind of behavior though (the dogs behavior).

I don't want to lie, if someone take this dog he should know in advance why i'm giving it away for free.

I don't want to spend more money on training class, the bill for this dog and everything he broke is arround 100 000 Baht, enough for me. Maybe someone more strict will do better than me. I'm done. Or if someone is willing to give me 100 000 Baht to repay everything i will keep it a little more, but we all know this will never happen.

Agreed, but training requires the committment of the owner which doesn't look like it will be forthcoming from the comments of the OP.

Maybe more appropriate to post in Plants Pets & Vets forum if looking for someone to take him.

Lets be fair...the OP is at least trying to home the dog. Many would just open the back door.

I hope though he does think a little more before buying another dog.

My sympathy lies with the dog. The OP is clearly not able and/or qualified to take care of this dog. I have 6 dogs and never have I had such a problem with any of them.

Leave the guy alone, at least he is trying to find a home for the Dog instead of just leaving it at the Temple as most people do, it's evident that the guy has come to the end of his tether with the Dog [no pun intended] but still wants to make sure it is looked after.

I would take him off your hands Johan but i'm afraid the list of things he has destroyed so far is probably worth more than the contents of my house.

I had one of these Thai ridgebacks.

Crazy dogs but extremely loyal and excellent guard dogs, loved her dearly. Then one day some bastard poisoned her.

Would love to have another ,but could not give this breed the commitment it needs right now

Good luck they do grow out of the chewing. As a breed need lots and lots of exercise not just allowed to run around but proper disciplined walking.

I can't believe some of you are trying to back up the OP!

So if he had a kid and he/she then went on to break a few things around the house BECAUSE THEY DONT KNOW BETTER would it be ok to kick the kid out on the street?

For f***s sake if you choose to take on a dog, or in other circumstances a child be responsible for it. Don't just kick it out when you realise your not up for the challenge.

Do your research BEFORE buying a dog. Look into the breed and its traits.

I feel very sorry for the dog, I don't have a single feeling for the OP except for contempt.

If I was in a position to, I'd be at your door tonight to offer the dog a decent life, a life you decided a few months ago to bring him in to.

At the end of the day if you were willing to give the dog the training, exercise and attention it needs there would be no problem.

Shame on you OP. I hope you believe in karma.

Oh and in case you think I'm a troll, PM me. I'll pay for a Thai family I know to take care of your dog, as right now I value its life a lot more than yours.

Johan good choice, don't let other peoples opinions effect you.. Been there, done that, and have had many dogs over my lifetime all well trained but just on occasion you find one that's in-corrigible and would be better off with someone else, somewhere else, at least you gave it a chance and now you're trying to find it a home, that's more then some would do as most would just open the front door and shuu it away..

Also well done, I took in a German Shepard once that was petrified of lightning (actually the thunder that follows) and would tear apart the house and if outside would get out and take off even in spite of an invisible fence (which I spent $300 on just for her never needed one before that dog) and a real fence!! The thing is there was no way to anticipate her fear as she would here an oncoming thunderstorm hours before we could in the distance and she would bolt much to the chagrin of the neighbors! This was in Florida too so plenty of Tstorms daily somewhere.

Anyway the previous owner was not upfront as I would not have taken the dog in had I known it was so neurotic as I had no time or patience for a rehab project having just lost my wife to cancer. I just wanted a friend and companion and then they wanted nothing to do with the dog when I called back only a few days later so I had to deal with it but your honesty is to be commended and appreciated and someone who thinks they're so good with animals should take up the challenge, there seem to be plenty of judgmental people posting who might be more suited for the job instead of making personal judgments.

Ridiculous comparison, I know some people treat their pets like children but they aren't children!! If you feel so sorry for the dog own up and take it off his hands and stop criticizing HIS decision.. Enough said....

We have done everything for this dog, i have built a nice little place for him, costed me 50 000 B but when he's outside he's too crazy. When we can't control him we put him inside his place, he's always ok to go inside, he never attacked us. I don't want him to stay in there for the rest of his life.

The OP is being brutally honest about the situation, with this thread's advertising it's clear that the dog needs some time dedicated for training out the destructive phase and probably teething issues that has resulted in the damage.

The nice dog shack suggests the dog will be an outdoor dog and not house trained.

A bulk of the training time will be walking which can be hard in Thai heat.

Talking to any local Thai dog home or pet shop that sells dogs would probably be the most viable option for a solution today, as any one that reads this thread will need the space and time to take on a new project.

A dog is an animal, not a child. Sorry it caused you so much stress and happy someone else with more time and patience has taken it off your hands.

Don't worry about trolls.

JohanBKK, you have my full support. You realise you can not handle this dog, and you try to find him a new home. Wish all owners of unhappy dogs would do like you, and wish you and the dog all the best.
