I do apologise in advance if this question has been covered previously as I'm sure it has.

I've been looking through the Web pages of a guest house in Siem Reap, they list a number of destinations available by bus from Siem Reap, one of which is Pattaya. The cost $17 - $25. Do any members know the operator of this run, and information as to if they do the reverse trip (Pattaya - Siem Reap). I do see this trip offered in Pattaya but at Bt1500, its almost double the fare quoted on the web site for Siem Reap - Pattaya . Just planning at the moment, as have friend coming from UK to Pattaya for six weeks from Nov 1st. and trying to organise several excursions for her.

I think you would have to take the Bus to Aranyaprathet from Pattaya, then cross the boarder and hop on the scam-ripoff-Bus-System to REP (there is NO way to escape this, LP's Forum is full of comments and complaints about that official scam system).
